Wednesday of the Fifth Week in Ordinary Time. 1Kings 10:1-10/Ps 37:5-6, 30-31,39-40/Mark 7:14-23.
Theme: Charming wisdom

Every gift from the Lord is patently and potently charming and efficacious. The efficacy of the gift depends on our humility.
The promise of the Lord to Solomon was to make him unparallel among kings of the earth for his selfless request for understanding and discerning heart and wisdom.
Indeed, today, we are told that the Queen of Sheba has come with numerous retinue; camels bearing spices, gold and precious stones, to ascertain the veracity of the news about Solomon. She was completely dumbfounded.
One thing is clear. When God is pleased with us, we become unmatched in favour and clad with glory.
This also demonstrates God's faithfulness to us. Solomon trusted in God's faithfulness and power to grant his request. He never doubted. Let us have faith in our God who is powerfully faithful.
Jesus teaches us that nothing that goes into us can defile us. However, everything that comes from us defile us. The wisdom God gave Solomon permeated through every facet of his life. The effects are the glories and honours, unexempled administration.
Let us also pray for the gift that can propel us into the arena of unparalleled success.
We need wisdom and discernment to guide us so that our actions may be pure. Without wisdom and discernment, all that comes from within us defile us.
We pray for the grace of humility to seek wisdom and discernment always. May He bless and keep us all.
We pray for God's strength for those seeking marriages. God loves you precious one.
Have a wonderful day.
